The idea stemmed from Jacquelyn's conversations with friends about those “almost” auditions—the ones where you are the director’s “second choice.”  After hearing "'Almost' is still a win!", she started wondering how far an actress would go to validate her career. And what better validation than to be featured on the entertainment industry's leading website, Deadline: Hollywood?

Jacquelyn teamed up with Artie to write the script and the initial short was shot in 2014. Upon release, it quickly gained traction when it caught the eye of Deadline's real-life editors and was sent to Deadline & Variety chief, Jay Penske. Life then imitated art as he had it posted on Deadline itself - and was featured on its homepage for a full week.

A follow-up series of five additional episodes were produced through Cap Gun Collective, expanding on the ideas of fame, networking, and what lengths a person will go to to get what they want.

Guest stars in the series are Corbin Reid (CW pilot Valor, Blair Witch, How to Get Away with Murder), Matthew Bohrer (Masters of Sex, Goliath), and Alejandro Romero (Powder Blue).

Pilot episode directed by Anna Campbell. Episodes 2-6 directed by Alex Fendrich.
